We hiked on this trail for the first time today. The easiest access is via the Housley loop, since there is parking right across the street behind PetSmart. The Housely loop is about a mile in length. We walked that trail, going left, to the connector that led along the Defense Highway side, down towards the dam. At the dam, we turned around and returned via the top side of the Housley loop. It was probably about 2.2 miles total. There were people along the trail, hiking, walking dogs, and mountain biking. Read moreI was just there hiking today. A tree fell on the trail 20 feet in front of me. If I didn't stop or had headphones in I would have never heard it snap and fall. It was large enough to kill me or seriously injure me if it fell on me, joggers... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT JOG WITH HEADPHONES IN. Sorry for the cussing....
