This is the first place that comes to my mind when thinking about beautiful sunsets. It's the best place to see the prettiest sunsets near Salt Lake City, Utah. Being on a small hill, not too far from the vast lake facing west gives the perfect vantage point for enjoying the sun set over the lake, the gorgeous colors (even after the sun has set) and the reflections of the sky and the sun on the lake (especially if it is calm). Read morePerfect little hike for the casual hiker and little ones. Took my 3 year old and he made it through it in its entirety. We saw lizards, ravens, sea gulls of course, and lady bugs yesterday on our hike. We went a little late in the season so we missed witnessing sea gulls nesting. We did see thousands of baby sea gulls swimming around in the lake. The water is pretty low as well almost can walk to sea gull island. Also the biting gnats are not on this hike which is nice. This hike was challenging for my toddler but short enough he could be carried and exciting enough to keep the adults, teens and kids busy. The highlight was finding a geo cache for the kids.
