Contra Loma Reservoir — Attraction in Antioch

Contra Loma Park is perfect place to hike on winter weather. I was hiking in this park on the first day of February, 2021. It has so many different trails, and some of them are up hill.( great workout). I started at the Black Diamond Mines parking, no entrance fee. My hike was about 5 miles loop, and around 500 ft of the elevation gain. I took Lake View Trail , hiking up to Upper Vista, continue hiking around the reservoir, and back to the parking lot. It was perfect hike, with a mix between cardio and relaxing walk. Very quiet and peaceful, most hikers are friendly, great views, and also a good spot for bird watching or picnic. Fantastic spot to watching sunset and collecting pictures. Oh... $3 fee for jump down to the pool. I will come back this park in April for...

I love Contra Loma . It is one of my grand daughters favorite summer time activities. I must make a compliant tho, last year, I noticed a lot of teenager's using those squirt gun things that look like a pole that you just pull back , and it squirts a stream of water that we got hit in the FACE with several time's .Not on purpose but they hurt none the less.
