I’ve enjoyed purchasing garden plants and landscape items from this local family business for over 18 years. I have consistently found that the variety and quality of products at Pahls Garden Center are exceptional. If you want to purchase a pre-planted and skillfully arranged patio planter, theirs are beautiful and artfully assembled. The garden center is well laid out with good signage. If you know you have a shady spot for your plantings, you can go directly to that section and will find a vast selection. I love what they do with foliage. While blooming plants are so cheerful and fill my garden beds, I find myself adding more and more space just for the fun of mixing texture and leaves in large planters. Everything that I’ve bought - plants, shrubs, trees – all have been very healthy. This represents real skill and gardening know-how. I also buy hardy roses here every year. Yes. Some don’t make it due to our Minnesota winters. However, they are still worth it to me for their charm, fragrance, and dominance in my garden arrangements that are fun to give away. What has amazed me is that even when I’m not asking for a replacement, once they offered one – for free. (I do buy a lot there :)) Pahl’s Market is run by an exceptional family. Always has been. But it is fabulous to see its management transferring to another generation. Gary and Missy Pahl, as well as Jane, have been the best customer support team possible. Also, a big shout out to Jack Pahl who has helped me several times. I’m so happy to see their current expansion going on. The outdoor living section is amazing. I highly recommend going here to purchase your garden containers, fountains, bird baths, and ornamental items. It’s also a great place to buy small gift items for my gardening friends and family members. The staff is passionate, knowledgeable about what grows best in Minnesota and ideal garden pairings, and very customer-centric.

We are appalled with Pahl's!! We bought an Autumn Blaze Maple tree on July 6th and planted it on the same day we brought it home. Since then, dark spots on the tree have multiplied and upon researching the cause, we learned the tree is infested with tar spot. We contacted Pahl's via their website/contact us page, to report this issue and per their request sent in numerous pictures of the diseased tree. Pahl's staff confirmed the tree has tar spot disease. Sadly, other than some email advise on how to rake up and remove leaves to prevent the disease from spreading further on this defective tree, Pahl's has not taken any accountability and has not offered any credit, and has not offered a refund. We paid full price for the tree. We have emailed the owner, Gary Pahl, directly with a complaint and he is ignoring the email. Based on this experience, we would not recommend buying from Pahl's. Please be aware they are not accountable when it comes to defective/diseased merchandise. It was not our goal to bring home any diseased specimen of a tree. 07-28-2023 Update: After posting this review and much back and forth via email with various Pahl’s staff, we received a rather crude, unprofessional, offensive and completely inappropriate email from the business owner, who is a complete bully. His email has been reported and we are working with an appropriate authority to get this resolved.

Over the last 15 years I have consistently fond that the service and products at Pahls Garden Center are exceptional. They really care for their plants and trees, so when I buy from them, I know that the root base is healthy and will sustain new growth once in one of my gardens. The staff is passionate and knowledgeable about what grows best in Minnesota and ideal garden pairings. I highly recommend them. Not only is there a wide selection of both annuals and perennials, they have a nice selection of landscaping items.

I am a single, working mom to two active teenagers. Even with my very busy schedule, I found time each week to quickly look up easy and yummy recipes so that I could quickly prepare my weekly CSA produce. Everything about this CSA membership is a 10! The types of produce, the quality, the weekly emails about what is coming this week in your box along with recipes and neat stories, the events to pick extra produce (I attended both the green bean picking and also the sweet corn picking events - my daughter and I both followed your easy recipes to freeze these veggies and OMG we have been enjoying these all winter!), to the customer service (I had to call and email them a few times because I had a question about using my gift card and I asked about extra rhubarb - both situations the customer service was great), to even my experience in the Pahl's market. I could go on and on...but I highly recommend joining their CSA. My teenagers loved the quick and healthy meals (I buy chicken and fish and either bake it with the veggies or just toss them all together on the grill) and the amazing fruit but our favorite and the reason we are joining again this season is the green beans and sweet corn that we prepared and froze....fresh to quick cook to freeze and then cook when you want them....I will never buy frozen veggies at the grocery store again. Pahl's sweet corn stays firm and so...
