My GF and I went to this restaurant based off it's google reviews. I have to say we were extremely disappointed. I ordered what the restaurant called Chile Verde and there was nothing "verde" about it. It was more like a chili Colorado and thankfully that was my order because what my GF ordered was awful at best. She ordered two ground beef tacos and a cheese enchilada. It came out with an extremely hot plate but ice cold food and a ground beef enchilada. We notified the waiter and he brought us a cheese enchilada filled with unmelted cheese on a cold raw corn tortilla. My GF was very polite about the fact that the food was cold but the plate was hot. We were so hungry that my friend ate one of the tacos. She couldn't even finish it because the grease had started to solidfy into the shell. BTW, they were cold Old El Paso taco shells that they dumped cold ground beef into. Fortunately my meal was warm and I was able to share my meat with her. I dumped out the other taco and filled it with my verde/colorado so she could have a warm meal. The waiter came back and said that the chef defended his steamer and said that the food came out of the kitchen warm. My GF said that the only thing warm on her plate was the rice and beans, he shrugged his shoulders and said "Oh well, sorry". I have never written a restaurant review before, but am so disappointed that when this popped up, I had to say something. Long story short I'm going give this place a 1 🌟 and say DO NOT RECOMMEND! P.S. on a positive note the chips, salsa and guacamole were nice and cold and...
Read moreDelicious food, excellent service! My colleague and I stopped here for dinner as we passed through town. He had a beef quesadilla and I had the seafood enchilada (my go-to dish for mexican restaurants). The enchillada did not disappoint! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and there was just the right amount of sauce inside and out. The white queso dip for our chips was tasty as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its good for and fast friendly service. As we left the restaurant, i did not notice that i had left my keys in the booth. It was only later, when we were an hour or so down the road when i noticed them missing. I called the restaurant immediately, but no keys had been turned in and with a full dining area, it would be difficult to disturb other diners in order to search for them. We left our number to call if they were found. The next day, the manager called to advise that they had found the keys. Since we were traveling on a strict agenda, it would be dufficult to retrace our route to collect the keys, i asked the manager to please charge my credit card $10-$15 and drop the keys in the mail in a fits/ships flat. He insisted that he only charge for the exact cost for mailing. It being saturday, the manager then quickly went to the post office before it closed and mailed the keys over night to my home with a tracking number, then sent me a cornfirmation of the cost of shipping and the tracking number. This manager went above and beyond to return my keys. It is indicative of the pride and attention he puts into running...
Read moreWe usually go to El Azteca but decided to try Mi Pueblo because they have sopapillas, which my girls discovered they liked on vacation last summer. We were not disappointed. I had the Loco Taco Salad, which was like the taco salad but with steak, chicken and shrimp, and grilled veggies (which I omitted). It was delicious. My hubby had the Burrito Mi Pueblo, which was stuffed with about every kind of grilled meat and veggies. He's got a good appetite, but he could only eat about 2/3 of it. My youngest had the taco soup, with a side of 3 tamales. They were delicious, but there's only so much room in our stomachs! She liked it, but took most of the soup home. Interestingly, the soup had cauliflower and carrots in it... The other 3 kids had bacon cheeseburgers with potato wedge fries. They were huge -- probably 1/3 pound patties! Then we all shared a fried ice cream and an order of sopapillas. The sopapillas were with cream and strawberry syrup. The girls were expecting them topped with honey, which is how they were first introduced to them. But they thought these were yummy too. The fried ice cream was more my favorite, and it did not disappoint. We left stuffed, and with boxes of leftovers. For 6 dinners and 2 desserts (no drinks -- just water), it was $99.63, plus tip. But the food was great and our server was constantly stopping by to refill water, clear dishes away, get leftover boxes, bring us dessert, etc. I'd say it...
