We visited the museum in between hikes because it was an easy way to rest and lean about Zion National Park. Be aware that if you are taking the shuttle to the museum that it is only available on the shuttle returning to the visitor center. The film was fairly new and inspiring which was nice compared to some of the extremely outdated films we've watched at other parks. Unfortunately I couldn't get the free wifi that they advertised to work. The gift shop was rather small but still had some unique items that I had not seen at other stores in the park so I would say it's certainly worth the stop.
