This place is a gem. The natural beauty are glimpses of heaven. Stop by the tourist center to answer questions with the very helpful and courteous staff. I learned that there is no camping near the trail heads and must be done in designated camp grounds. I stayed in Colonial Creek Campground which was first come first serve at the end of the season but I think it is by reservation during peak season. Please be respectful of the park and rules so we can continue to have these serene and beautiful places. I’m still in awe several weeks later. Diablo Lake Trail was moderate — at the end you can either hike back or catch the ferry ($10 cash or card). As an avid hiker, I felt the ferry was worth it and got a nice view of the lake from being...

Oh. My. Gosh. This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen. I have been to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Zion, Mount Rainier, and lots of other big name National Parks, but, in my opinion, you won’t come across one more beautiful than North Cascades National Park. Over the last 11 months, I’ve visited twice, and each time was just SO beautiful. If you are ever in Seattle, no, if you are ever in Washington State as a whole you MUST visit here. Diablo Lake is the most magnificent, awe-inspiring, and straight up beautiful lake I’ve ever seen. In my mind, this park should be among the likes of Yosemite, Glacier, and Yosemite for its grandeur. I’m glad it’s not tho, cause the quietness of this park makes it all the...

Diablo lake area has 3 view points:- The Diablo lake trail(around 3.5 miles round trip and 650 feet elevation). In this trail you can see snow covered mountains multiple times and some water stream at the base of the trail). The view of Diablo lake on top is absolutely stunning with mountains on the back. The second point is at the base/starting point of 1st trail. You can see the whole view of the lake from the ground zero. The trail views a birds view of the same lake. Point is the vista point. Here no trail is required and is more like a picnic area with the view of a lake from some height. Parking is usually available as its a moving place.
