Diablo Lake covered in snow is truly worth a visit 😍

Seattle Surroundings It’s time for our weekly mountain snow🏔️ and playtime in the snow❄️! This time, let’s head to the lesser-known and free Diablo Lake👌 🚗 Navigate to Diablo Lake Overlook, it’s about a 2h30min drive from East Seattle. 👉 On the way, you’ll pass a popular dam spot with a parking area for photos. 👉 If you navigate to Diablo Lake, you’ll be prompted that you’ve reached your destination in the middle of the road. No worries, just drive a bit further and turn in at the overlook sign for parking. 🍜 There aren’t many proper restaurants or shops along the way, so it’s best to bring your own snacks. 👉 The overlook parking area only has long tables and benches (currently all covered in thick snow), and there are simple restrooms🚻. ⛺️ We saw two young people with camping chairs and a grill, occupying a viewpoint for a snowy barbecue, which looked very comfortable. The parents chasing their kids around were quite envious. 🙋‍♀️ Tip: The highest point you can drive to is the overlook; beyond that, the road is closed🚧. It’s still snowing heavily at times, and the snow on the side of the road is thick. Don’t just park anywhere off the road to take photos❗️ You might get stuck… (Our pilot almost needed to wait for the police👮 to get out…) #HappyWeekendSnippets #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleTravel #SeattleOutdoors #SeattleWithKids #Diablo #WhereToGoOnWeekends #HiddenGems #SeattleLife
