Maverick Stadium — Attraction in Arlington

Had to come here to see my H.S. kid throw the shot put for regionals. Charged me 15 bucks for parking. Already paying for the event for me and my daughter. Concession charging 4 bucks for bottles of water. This is h.s. track, not a professional sports event. Stop trying to grt rich selling bottles of water. Event staff are all upety and rude. Guy made us walk all the way around the stadium just to come right back to where he is standing and the shot put pit, even though I already purchased my tickets online and I have a bad leg/sciatic nerve. Staff that are taking the online tickets tried to act like they couldn't find my ticket and screwed around 10 minutes trying to worry me to death because they don't know how to run their little scanner gadget. Got a real racket...

Pretty easy to navigate from one area to another. FYI: Summer time out here are brutal, not alot of shade options. My only gripe is the bathroom, clean but terrible conditions. The toilets in the female stall was so high and made it hard to squat and do your business without some body part touching the seat, which defeats the purpose of the squat. Cool place. We volunteered at the Special Olympics. We were on the field which is turf. The restrooms are clean.
