The GREAT Pumpkin Patch grew a whole lot since the last time I visit w/ my son. The GREAT Pumpkin Patch was our FALL visit when he was a little boy. I haven't been to The GREAT Pumpkin Patch since he was in Jr High School... He grew up and I love to travel to other Fall events. He had his proposal at The GREAT Pumpkin Patch on Oct 27 2018 and everything turned out amazing. I need to go back next fall and see the things I missed, you need to allow yourself/family several hours (4-6 hours) to see everything at The GREAT Pumpkin Patch. This patch is created w/ the touch of beauty and love. There's just so much to look at.... A picnic area with picnic tables and a band. A different band daily. We had The Gunny Sack Revue Band. If you're not from the area; they have general stores with clothes, souvenirs and so much more. This is a MUST visit patch however "YOU DO PAY ADMISSION" to enter The GREAT Pumpkin Patch. Remember it's about making the wonderful beautiful memories w/ family and friends.
This review is to tell The GREAT Pumpkin Patch "Thank you" for going out of your way to help me set-up for my son's proposal. I had 2 ladies who worked for The GREAT Pumpkin Patch volunteer to get everything I needed. My son wanted to propose in the Pumpkin Patch field but it was to muddy. We found a location w/ the view of the Pumpkin Patch field in the background. They loaded everything in the trailer and drove me in the golf cart. The weather was beautiful and perfect for them. Everything turned out so beautiful and she said "YES"... The band Gunny Sack Revue did announce their engagement and sang a song for my son and Breanna. Thank you and I greatly appreciate everything your staff did for me yesterday. We all (at least 30 people) had a wonderful time spending it with the people we love... See you...
Read moreLoved the selection but thought paying 5 bucks a person for our all adult group to go in to purchase items was RIDICULOUS.... (Usually its 7 bucks on weekends but Saturday they gave us the weekday rate as it was the last Saturday before Halloween). We bought 30 bucks worth of pumpkins and gourds but paying the even reduced 5 bucks a person is stupid. I can see if you are taking children in to play, but we were only there to purchase the things there and we had to pay for the right to purchase,. This place must make a bundle in the month of October. I will not go back EVER unless I have a child that begs me to go. I think they get you by being in the middle of no where and by the time you get there you almost have to go in. Their large pumpkins are 10 bucks each and you can purchase the same at many roadside stands for half that. The selection was great though...My daughter purchased a bottle of seeds to plant for 5 bucks and there were 7 tiny seeds in the bottle... Oh and they charge 2 bucks extra for a wagon ride...Should TOTALLY be included. Will not go back. Thank God everyone doesn't charge you to go into their store to purchase items... Can you imagine paying 5 bucks to go to...

At the Patch, there is entertainment for all age groups including two mazes, an old schoolhouse, a few spooky spots, and a hay ride through the place where the magic happens....the actual patch where all the pumpkins are grown. The experience also includes an opportunity to choose and pick your own pumpkin which you then weigh for determination of price. Or if you prefer, you can also choose to wait until the conclusion of your trip and choose from a vast array of already weighed and priced pumpkins located near the exit. There is also good food and several fun and unique photo opps. My only criticism is related to the cost of the entrance fee. While I realize a fee is necessary to maintain the upkeep of the patch, it is a bit high in my opinion. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an ideal place to kick off the...
