On paper this place is great. In reality, I have a more mixed experience.
Easy parking, easy to get started, cool dinosaurs! If a great theme that they do well with.
I’d say this place is for adults and kids no younger than 11 or 12. The holes are challenging, most of them you are hitting the ball up hill, and most of them, the hole is at the top of a small volcano like hill. You hit the ball too easy and it rolls all the way back to you, too hard and it rolls up and over the other side. This makes most holes frustrating.
My kids are 9, 6, and 3 years old (also have a newborn but she didn’t golf). I can tell my kids stopped having a good time maybe 5 holes into it. Contributing factors were: lack of shade, difficulty of each hole, and the feeling of being rushed by the families behind us.
If you have a bigger family, 5 or more, it may not be a super good time for you( they do have a sign that suggests parties of 5 or more split into 2 or more groups, but come on).
The ice cream is good, but the smaller size you can get is $5 and is still way too big even for me to complete after golfing.
The bathroom is really nice and well maintained, but they only have 1. They have an electric hand drier which is cool, but if you go here with kids and they have ice cream and end up wearing it, the free napkins don’t do the job of cleaning that mess, and no thicker paper towels in the bathroom. I’d bring your own wet wipes.
Little options for shade really put the hurt on the kiddos, and the only water fountain they have, my kids said the water tastes like chlorine. Their soda machine is out of order as well.
If it was just me and my wife, would have been a good time, but this place is geared towards children, and my kids didn’t have as good a time for the...
Read moreI could write a book about how awesome our visit to Raptor Falls Mini Golf was! We chose this place to celebrate our youngest sons birthday. First off, reservations are not necessary, but I had seen that if you call ahead you can reserve a table if you want. Calling to reserve said table was easy! And the woman I spoke to was great!! Jump forward to the day of, it was pouring, but the rain was expected to stop before our planned arrival so we decided to play it by ear, I called to confirm that they would be open and again the staff was great! We get there, our son is so excited! We had a few family members meet us and we checked in, the staff had gone up to where the tables were and dried them off for us, we did a quick birthday celebration and then went to play our round of Mini golf, during the transition from party to golf the staff was awesome and so helpful! The animatronic dinosaurs alone are worth a trip, they were so cool, the entire place is clean, and beautifully landscaped! When we were done we turned in out golf clubs and the kids wanted ice cream, perfect way to end the trip, the ice cream was very good, the service getting our ice cream was great! We will definitely be bringing the kids back, might even make a good date night location!...
Read moreI don't even really want to post pictures because I don't want to spoil the experience! This place is so cool for dinosaur enthusiasts, mini golf fans, families & kids at heart. This course may be somewhat more challenging for younger mini golfers. I also appreciated that they have a set of holes that are wheelchair-accessible listed where you purchase tickets. Read on if you're okay with spoilers! ⚠️ We ended up here on a whim today and I'm so glad we did. Yes this place seems a bit more expensive than other mini golf courses, and I think you're paying for a well-maintained, well-themed, and unique course. We thought the dinos must be statues when we saw them online but we were thrilled that they are animatronics that move! There were umbrellas and a couple of cute gazebos with some shade, but like any mini golf course, it would probably be hot and sunny some days. There are some really cute photo ops built in as well which makes waiting for the next hole feel way less boring. There's also some special prize or something if you get a hole in one in the mystery hole, but we weren't able to stick around to...
