Lakeshore Park: A Slice of Paradise
If you're looking for the perfect day out with family, friends, or even your furry companion, look no further than Lakeshore Park! Our recent visit was an absolute delight, and I'm already counting down the days until we can go back.
First off, the adventurous playground is every kid's dream and an excellent excuse for parents to unleash their inner child. Who knew I'd be scaling ropes and zipping down slides again? The playground alone is worth the visit!
The beach is nothing short of spectacular—beautiful, clean, and just begging for sandcastle competitions and splash fights. And when you need a break from the sun, the giant pavilion, complete with porch swings, offers the perfect shady retreat. Swaying gently while watching the waves? Yes, please!
Hungry? The large concession area has you covered with all the snacks and treats you could wish for. I mean, where else can you get a lion drinking fountain? Hydration has never been so majestic.
As for cleanliness, this park is pristine. Not a speck of litter in sight, and the bathrooms looked nice from the outside (didn't venture in, but hey, they looked promising!). And despite our quiet visit, I can totally see this place buzzing with activity on a hot summer's day or during a gorgeous sunset. It's a people magnet, for sure.
Bonus points for being dog-friendly! Our pup had a blast sniffing every blade of grass and trying to make friends with everyone.
In short, Lakeshore Park is a gem. We loved every minute and will definitely be back...

It’s doable, and I was carrying my infant while my husband held on to our 2 year-old. On the beach, the sand is covered in goose poop and feathers. The water was quite clean and surprisingly warm. My son had a blast on the beach and in the water. There are bathrooms (very dirty), a playground (in full sun with no shade), lifeguard, a pavilion, and a concession stand within a 1-5 minute walk from the beach. Perhaps my standards for a “clean beach” are higher than others, and I did not enjoy having to dodge goose poop or navigate...
Read moreCan you give 0 stars. Boat ramp need monitoring. Everyone want to get in and out. There is no sense of direction here. An accident waiting to happen. I will NOT be returning and will be spreading the word on how unorganized this park is. People pull right in and cut people waiting in line. Then use their trucks pretty much as a battering ram to cut the whole line of trucks and trailer waiting. Then wants to argue when his boat which was still past the break wall to get in. 5 other boats had to wait. If you had proper boat dock help this would not happen. Very bad experience very bad service. Should be FREE WITH ALL...
