More education needs to be provided to visitors about the dangers of feeding human food to the park's birds. Human and pet food can cause irreparable harm to them in multiple ways including malnutrition, disease, and often irreversible and deadly conditions like "angel wing", a wing deformity in aquatic birds caused largely by eating human foods.

I've seen a few cases of this in geese and ducks at the park this year including one Canada gosling at the park right now. This goose will never fly and will eventually be rejected by its flock. It will have trouble finding food eventually and die because people fed it things like bread, Cheerios, pancakes, dog food, etc.

The ducks, Canada geese, domestic geese, and the swan are all susceptible to the same problems that can arise when we misfeed them. For example, your old bread has no nutritional value but makes them feel full -- this is detrimental. That same bread could have even slight mold which could lead to the geese, ducks, or swan losing their waterproofing and being unable to swim.

If you're not sure what's safe to feed the animals at the park, either ask a worker or only use the food from the...

This park was not for us.

Do not recommend/ due to no dogs allowed.

We go and spend our dollars where dogs are welcomed. This park is strictly a no dog allowed park.

However, we had seen a beautiful swan and the bridge was pretty. Great park but sad that dogs aren’t allowed as we travel with our dog. We found this park as we were searching and hunting lighthouses.

It is a beautiful landscaped park for those that enjoy a family without pet or dogs around. Swings and large pavilion and patio to eat lunch and to enjoy Lake Erie.

Three lighthouses can be seen from this area. If you are a person that doesn’t like dogs it will be perfect for you.

Missing on tons of tourist and travelers $$

Cute little concession stand for coffee. The beach is a nice walk with easy access to the water.

Do not feed the birds bread, it’s poison to them. They will develop angel wings which is...

A landmark or better I should write, a hallmark of Ashtabula, Ohio, along the shoreline of Lake Erie. Absolutely gorgeous Park! Well maintained and landscaped. Has the well known " duck pond". A favored spot for wedding and prom pictures to be taken. Also there, is the peacock enclosure. Picnic areas, beach, children's playground, bocce ball court, boat ramp and the recently updated historic pavillion are the icing on the cake, so to speak. There are other smaller pavillions throughout the Park as well. The larger pavillion offer a concession stand, that is open from late Spring to early Autumn. Car show, starting around the same time, on Sundays. Restrooms available. Many must- see events are held here, annually. Lights on the Lake, during Christmas time and the awesome Ribfest, in September , are my...
