Big Memorial Spring Park — Attraction in Athens

If you're looking for a small place to take your kids to enjoy the day or even to go enjoy the moment with your SO, this is the place. I would have rated it 5 stars but most of the time the bathrooms aren't open to the public and the water fountain doesn't work either. However, it's fun to hang out and look at the fish and feed the ducks. There's also a tennis court and a pavilion if you bring food and would like to sit down and eat. My kids favorite thing to do here or to look for kindness rocks. If you don't know what those are, you should look it up as it's a fun activity to do with your kids! Wanted to take my 10 month old daughter to see the ducks. We were the only ones in the park until a couple in a cream pontiac suv pulled up and watched me and my daughter. Big Spring Park is located on Market Street in Athens. The park consists of a large duck pond, a pavilion, three tennis courts, and a playground. There are machines to purchase duck food to feed the ducks and a couple of large swings located near the pond.
