East Lake Golf Club
Description
East Lake Golf Club is a private golf club 5 miles east of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1904, it is the oldest golf course in the city. East Lake was the home course of golfer Bobby Jones and much of its clubhouse serves as a tribute to his accomplishments. Since 2004, East Lake has been the permanent home of The Tour Championship, the culminating event of the PGA Tour Playoffs for the FedEx Cup. The Tour Championship was first played at the course in 1998. The reigning Tour Championship and FedEx Cup champion is Viktor Hovland. All proceeds from operations at East Lake Golf Club—more than $20 million to date—go to support the East Lake Foundation, which has helped transform one of the nation's worst public housing projects into a thriving community.

Amazing golf experience from tee to bar afterwards. Once you arrive on site the staff are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need. The range is awesome with lots of flags to hit to and the pitching area is great too. Course is amazing, great layout, condition was immaculate, and very challenging from every tee and skill level. Restaurant food and drinks were great and the pro shop had a bunch of items to purchase. Clubhouse was gorgeous with a old school feeling mixed with some modern decor and lots of history and memorabilia stored inside that you should definitely take a look at.
Feels like stepping back in time when entering the East Lake Golf Club. A nice, yet old school, course design. What sets East Lake apart is the country club culture and service of the staff. No carts allowed, so you’ll be walking the course. You’ll be accompanied by a caddy. I had a great experience and played one of my favorite rounds of golf.
This is a social place with lots of history and I feel lucky to have been invite by a friend who is a member. It was the week before the FedEx so the grandstands were up too. Everything is top notch and done perfectly so the experience there is exactly as it should be. And the golf greens are the most difficult I’ve played.
This place is absolutely stunning. Sure the turf is great, but this place really shines in the small details. All the trees are trimmed and out of the way. All the flower beds are well taken care of and gorgeous. The horticulture staff does an incredible job. Better than any other course I've been to.
This was a great experience. I loved seeing a part of Atlanta's Golf Heritage (Bobby Jones' home golf course) and enjoyed playing the golf course. If you ever have the opportunity to go to East Lake Golf Club I highly recommend you don't pass it up. You will not be disappointed!
I have had the blessing of playing East Lake a few times. The course is incredible. Even just to walk the course is time well spent. This year the Tour Championship was incredible as well. Thankful to have been there myself.
