A really nice well built boardwalk in the heart of Auburn that's great for wildlife/birds in the area, but there just isn't enough here to see in this small area to justify coming here very often. If you'd like to go for a longer walk there is a sidewalk that connects it to the Interurban trail along the street, but it's not all that scenic. Apparently there are some plans to expand this area and I really hope that happens in the future. Read moreThis is an excellent little spot right off highway 18 in Auburn. There is a 1200 ft raised boardwalk with numerous interpretive signs describing the protected wetland. Additionally there is a lookout tower offering views of the 207 acre preserve. There is enough parking for about 6 vehicles in the stone parking lot. Read moreVery beautiful “park”. It’s a 1/4 mile one way to the bird watching tower where there’s not much of a view but still a cool spot to have lunch at one of the two picnic tables there. It’s not super quiet as the highway is close and you can sometimes see the cars; but not enough to ruin the experience.
