Pool is nice, but the on-site staff are not customer service savvy. TL;DR, train your people better and post signage about swim interruptions. Also, don’t lie to your guests.
We went to the pool with our 8-week old twins; I thought it would be nice to try and get them outside. Got the floaties, the swimsuits, sunscreen - the whole nine.
Anyway, packing up kids is no joke, and this was our official first outing. When we arrived, we were greeted by a young woman at the counter and charged $18 for the three adults, which is a great deal for all-day fun.
We set our stuff on the side of the 2ft shallow pool. It took us about ten minutes to get the babies into their floaties because we’d never used them and honestly, beyond a concept, had no idea how to set them up. The lifeguard stood there watching us, which was fine, but not two minutes after we said “finally! Now we can have some fun,” we were told to take the babies out for “adult swim.”
I had to ask what that was because I was confused why they were kicking all of the kids out of the pool, including the infants that we just calmed down after struggling to get them set up and in the pool 😢
The lifeguard couldn’t give us an answer as to why we couldn’t keep the babies in the pool and told us to speak with the head guard, who said lifeguards are going on break and anyone under 18 cannot be in the pool, regardless of parental/adult supervision (when the pool had only been open for 45 minutes).
Because of the treatment and not being told by anyone until it was much too late, we attempted to request a refund, which I figured wasn’t going to happen. We were told the lifeguards interrupt swim time every 20 minutes to perform “safety checks” when, in reality, all they were doing was swimming and gossiping in the shallow end of the pool.
Management, do better. Post signage about interruptions and have your staff tell guests about this policy/make 5-10 minute warning announcements so that people like me don’t waste their time before they have a chance to enjoy the facility. This was my first and, unfortunately, my last time visiting...
Read moreThe pool is $3.50 per person, everything else is free access. There is only ONE portapotty that does come with hand sanitizer but since it's out of the reach of anyone under 46" I question how useful it is. The playground is sand and rubber with no shade. There is also a nice field to play sports and tennis courts. Not a bad place but I personally wouldn't choose this place over other nicer...
