Star K Ranch — Attraction in Aurora

Gorgeous nature preserve. We bring a big blanket and picnic in the tall grass. Then head down one of the many trail routes to spot wildlife, greet passing dogs and people, and my favorite part is that someone or many someones are constantly constructing little teepees and alcoves from the fallen trees and branches all along the trail. The area is large enough for the avid walker, but also kid-friendly. And at the end of it all, we like to go into the well-kept Visitors' Center which has a beautiful educational center AND an equally interactive play area with stuffed animals, coloring books, and games. It was very pleasant and quiet. There was a good size duck pond and a smaller one as well. The trails were great. And the benches where very quante. I love the wild mustangs that were made out of metal. And the club house, well I'm assuming it was a club house was cool. The trail that I was on led me to a bench with a very cool design and then it also led me to a picnic area as well as another trail. I really enjoyed it. It felt like I was not in the city...

Im an avid workout enthusiast, and a truck driver. I made my delivery early and didn't want to sit at the truck stop or go to the gym, wanted something different. This place was just what I was looking for, great solid trails, and great trails for off the path running, a small paradise in the middle of the city, even have room to park the truck.
