Austin Party Cruises — Attraction in Austin

The boat alone was great!! Big enough for large parties..Upper deck for sunbathing or jumping in the water and lower deck great for dining and dancing....or just a break from the sun 🥵🌞. The bartender was amazing and had a great time with our group. Now my group was apart of a Birthday Celebration and it still being rather early we all came on the boat excited but respectful. We had alot to load to so everyone was being careful as instructed upon entry. Before pulling off we gathered upstairs for instruction. This is why 2 stars were given...Capatain Greg spoke to my group like rude rambunctious children. Greg spoke through the megaphone to give instructions which was okay but his tone felt very stereotypical and condescending. As he was given instructions two people spoke amongst themselves very quietly, he felt the need to reprimand them by asking them, "stop talking while I'm talking". We are all adults and never came across as rowdy and loud. He was also spotted turning down one of our speakers, also reprimand another person for leaning on a table. It's understandable if its not safe to lean on tables but it's all in how you speak to people. We all felt very stereotyped and uncomfortable. I understand some groups may need certain speeches but we weren't that group. We all felt very stereotyped and uncomfortable. He came off very standoffish. We utilized this company for my surprise 30th birthday weekend. The boat’s amenities were great! The docking location to swim was also great. The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. Captain Greg is the reason I chose to give a 2 star review. My guests and I did not feel welcomed initially. We weren’t hostile while boarding and were quite calm considering it was only 11:30am. Upon leaving the dock we were literally given a SPEECH by the captain in a condescending tone regarding the rules of the boat. He literally yelled through a Megaphone throughout this entire speech, rather than simply providing the information needed. Everyone was attentive during his speech. When I quietly mentioned his tone to one my guests standing next to me, he stopped his speech and advised me to stop speaking while he was talking..?? The excuse he gave as to why he was condescending was his prior trips involving Fraternity/Sorority parties. This isn’t our first rodeo in renting facilities whether it be out of town or out of the Country. We all traveled from FL, GA, DC, NY and have NEVER been treated/handled verbally as we did by Captain Greg. The success of a business is mostly based upon Customer Service... There is none with this company!

If I’d known that we would have been stereotyped prior to leaving the dock, we would have utilized a different company. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had such a great experience with Austin Party Cruises for my partner's 30th bday! We had a group of 50 on the Celebration II boat and all went smoothly. There was room for 100, but we just did the min amount and it was roomy. Jessica in the office was really helpful with all of the administration and answering questions in advance, and Rick and Terri were awesome to work with on the boat. Everyone had a great time and they had everything running smooth. They let us load up at the Marina which saved some stress in the 30 min window we had at the 360 Boat Ramp, and Rick and Terri helped us make everything look great for when our guests were on board. They even had some trays, tongs, bowls etc which elevated our snack set up. Our DJ set up upstairs and there was tons of space for people to hang out and dance. Boat was equipped with lots of noodles and bathrooms were clean. Would highly recommend Austin Party Cruises! My only feedback would be it would be awesome to be able buy ice from them as it was difficult to procure and transport. Would gladly add an extra $100 to the bill to not have to...
