This place is perfect for all ages. It's a nice shaded trail with access to the river. We walked a short trail and got to a really nice place for wading in the water with our 6 year old son. There were several families there having a great time. The water is not deep on the first part of the trail. If you keep going further down the windy and rocky trail, you get closer to more running water/falls and then to some big rocks where people enjoy sun bathing and the water is more still. For younger kids the first part of the trail is great. There are tons of small rocks to play with but that also means your feet hurt a ton if you don't bring good water shoes. To really enjoy the area, I definitely recommend bringing those as well as tubes for floating around. There are a few swings for adults and adventurous kids to throw themselves into the water.
