Barton Creek 360 Trail Access — Attraction in Austin

Hike is awesome had a great time going through the trails. Everyone was friendly and polite passing one another on the trails. The parking is probably the only thing that bothered me. There was broken auto glass every where made me extremely nervous to leave my vehicle unattended and this wasn't the only place like this either there were othere parks the same way, with warning signs about break-ins. Be mindful of your surroundings and don't leave valuables behind the less they see the less they want to break into your vehicle. Still a great trail and park just some unfortunate stuff going there in the parking area. Stay safe, hydrated...

Violet Crown Trail: 360 Trailhead to 290 Trailhead. I headed to the southwest to 290 Trailhead, but you could also go northeast to Zilker/Barton Springs Trailhead. In the direction of the 290 trailhead, it's a beautiful continuation of the Violet Crown Trail that starts at Zliker. This stretch gets a bit more rocky, narrow, rooty, and mildly dangerous in a few spots, depending on your mobility. One area has chains anchored to the wall for hand holds. I didn't personally find them necessary, but it's good they are there given the nearby drop. Otherwise, it's a lovely, well-shaded and cooler stretch, even in the late morning...

This review is NOT for the trail. It is for the parking lot. My friend's car was broken into with the window busted out. My wallet was stolen, which I had well hidden. There are people watching you park and watching your activities before you get out of the car. Within 45 minutes of parking, they did the smash and grab, immediately charged over $1K on my credit cards at the HEB on Brodie. Based on other reviews, it's pretty clear they have been doing this for a while.
