Great, beautiful spot to cool off and hike a little!

A little sad to see how people treated it, but that’s not nature’s fault. Right as we walked in to the main falls there were probably ~25 people and 2 canopies set up in the water, people bumping their music… If you prefer quietude in nature, you can continue walking roughly .25-.75 miles (⚠️ watch for a 1.5ft jump about .2mi in, watch for poison ivy and of course snakes) and find some very picturesque little spots to hang out. Just don’t expect it to stay quiet the whole time, especially on a weekend!

⚠️About 20 minutes into hanging out at the spot we really enjoyed, we saw a snake swimming with us. Had to be about 2.25ft long. Couldn’t tell what it was but it was a nope. We noticed it hide under a large rock so since we couldn’t see it but knew it was around we made our way back upstream.

It’s so hard to tell what is what trail-wise… we started hiking up something since there was a blue marker we saw. I thought it would go to another set of falls that I could hear, but it went high up the hill and back down to the parking lot, where there was a sign saying the trail was closed during spring/summer…. oops!

⚠️The parking lot is a bit rough and definitely shows signs of break ins (glass everywhere).

⚠️If you bring a dog, I recommend them wearing booties until you get to the aforementioned 1.5ft drop. There’s just...

I've been to Bull Creek Falls a number of times being a native Austinite, and love it every time. To be honest, though, I usually choose to go when I know it won't be busy- when school is in, during a workday, etc. and after a rain. The water is always clear, the falls are beautiful, swimming is at your own risk but the water is usually cool and refreshing, the trails around are shaded and hiker friendly, and the shallow water across the top of the falls is a unique spot, especially for littles to play in. I have included photos from a few different times we have been there in the past few years. Hopefully people don't continue to trash it ... There was glass and trash in a few areas even though they have trash cans and bathrooms nearby. Parking at this area is scarce though. If it's crowded people tend to park along the street leading to it. We will continue to visit this...

Post about this because I’m not seeing any posts in regards to this but I feel people should be aware if you plan to go and park in the designated parking lot.

I’m from Houston and wanted to visit. Pulled in and saw tons of automotive glass all over the place… still continued in, then my son gasped and said look. There was a white SUV with a busted drivers side back window broken. We debated about staying and in that time the owners showed up. They said they had only been there for about an hour and 1/2. That’s insane. We didn’t even get to experience the trail or falls because I was scared away, being a single mom with her son in that parking lot. I wish that...

Nice park I visited while on vacation. Cool scenic area with smaller waterfalls about 6-10ft tall. Only thing that was bad was that apparently a lot of people's cars get broken into here. There was a lot of glass in the parking lot. Not safe for people's cars to drive over or for small kids to walk across. Definitely needs more security presence or cameras. Other than that nice spot to visit just to go swimming or go on walks. And the sign could be updated and replaced. Very worn out and old sign.
