Bleser Park — Attraction in Avon Lake

This park is absolutely amazing. Its unique and as much fun to play at now, as it was when I was kid. Its in need of some much needed repairs (weirdly the same ones needed when i was a kid). This is a great place to take high energy kids, tell them the mulch is lava and someone is it. Sadly, there are talks of changing it, which would be a great disservice to future children. Admittedly, if you have special needs children, specifically those that are physically handicapped, I would try a different park, as the narrow space and steps can make it difficult to navigate. Wonderful place for young children. I took my 3 year old grandchildren and we had a lot of fun. Some of the obstacles were too difficult for them but they managed to get around. I prefer the ground covering to be that rubber material and hopefully when they update the area it will be considered. Some of the equipment is showing its age. Four pickleball courts, ground is in great condition and has lines painted, permanent nets. Best feature are the lights which allow you to play at night (until 10:00)!
