A nice and rather long bike/walking trail along the river bed. Beautiful sight if nature especially during the winter months were the local hill are a vibrant green. You may even see some snow on the nearby mountain. The only downside is the parking lot is rather small and the signs are not well kept.

One of my favorite rides. If you ride to the beach and back, you'll need to pack plenty of water, energy bars & electrolytes. Riding through the desert in the summer can be very hot, over 100 degrees! There's a few parks along the way where you can get water from a drinking fountain.

Nature at its finest the scenery is peaceful and serene. The walking trails are great the views are breathtaking. If you a beginner outdoors person this is your spot. Bring the family and get out of the city to enjoy the simple life

Here were the San Gabriel river bike path begins is a great place to plan for a road bike trip. You can go for a ride up Hwy 39 and make your day riding to Morris Dam , San Gabriel Dam to East fork or even test your limits and head to OHV site were off Roaders take it into the river. Fire Station Rincon is next to the OHV Site. Another mile is West fork fishing Access/ Cogwell Dam were it is full of hiking trails.. Or go south and this bike be path will take you to Long Beach and Seal Beach.. About a 40 mile ride. There's plenty of rest stops and Parks alongside this San Gabriel river bike path,, so you can refuel, Hydrate and for you and your Cyclists friends.. obviously there are homeless all along this bike path,, but never had any drama from them.. overall it's a sure thing that you will see a lot off nature and great views throughout this endurance ride.. remember prep for this trail if you do plan to ride to the beach, such as a lunch, snacks, repair kit in case of a flat tire and most of all Electrolytes...

It's truly a beautiful place to go visit, however, there is a STRONG smell of urine and feces that linger all around the area, not to mention it is full of homeless people that makes it a bit uncomfortable to explore. I visited this place with my children hoping to be able to let them run wild and explore, but instead we ended our trip here early due to all the homeless people that were wondering around the place. Maybe deeper into the trail it gets better, but honestly we didn't stick...

Absolutely disappointing place when you walk down to the river from the parking lot. Not worth your time. It’s not suitable for relaxing or hiking. And there’s a lot of trash everywhere. I honestly don’t understand why they charge for a pass. You’re better off driving an extra hour and enjoying a much nicer spots like Arrowbear Lake, Lake Arrowhead, or...
