Here were the San Gabriel river bike path begins is a great place to plan for a road bike trip. You can go for a ride up Hwy 39 and make your day riding to Morris Dam , San Gabriel Dam to East fork or even test your limits and head to OHV site were off Roaders take it into the river. Fire Station Rincon is next to the OHV Site. Another mile is West fork fishing Access/ Cogwell Dam were it is full of hiking trails.. Or go south and this bike be path will take you to Long Beach and Seal Beach.. About a 40 mile ride. There's plenty of rest stops and Parks alongside this San Gabriel river bike path,, so you can refuel, Hydrate and for you and your Cyclists friends.. obviously there are homeless all along this bike path,, but never had any drama from them.. overall it's a sure thing that you will see a lot off nature and great views throughout this endurance ride.. remember prep for this trail if you do plan to ride to the beach,such as a lunch,snacks, repair kit in case of a flat tire and most of all Electrolytes...
