I took a day off from work and decided to go fishing to relax. Sadly it wasn't quite the experience that I was looking for. I had been there for about 3 hours, right when I was ready to leave I saw a park ranger hit his brakes hard and approached a Hispanic male and I assumed he was asking him for his fishing license. The Hispanic male spoke very little English, next thing I know the Park Ranger badge # 1023 last name Jendrzejewiski called me over to help translate. As I was being polite and helpful to translate, the ranger then asked me for my fishing license too. At that moment I was there to translate not to show my fishing license. Then the Ranger asked me for my ID which I told him that my information was on the fishing license itself. The Ranger made a Racist comment by saying "I will not deport you guys." Confused and in complete disbelief I told him if he was a Park Ranger or an Immigration officer? I told him i wasn't going to hand him my ID and if he wanted to violate my rights for him to just do so. While he was running my name he said he was going to have the Police to come over to fingerprint me to check if I had any warrants. I heard him radio in probably to his supervisor and whatever they must have said to each other made him give me my fishing license back but not before I started recording the interaction. He proceeded to hand me back my license and then told me to "Not to come back." Before he got back in his patrol car he pulled his cellphone out and took a picture of me and said "Now we'll now" not sure what that meant. This Ranger seems to target Hispanic people, I believe I'm not the only one he has done this to or the male he had me translate for. I will be making a legal complaint on and about his behavior which it was very unprofessional and quite intimidating. Shame on...

Labor day weekend was our very first time staying at this park. Staff was very friendly and addressed all our needs and concerns promptly. Rangers were all nice and welcoming. The park grounds are absolutely beautiful. The pool was very well kept and priced although too cold lol. So much to do and see at this park. Now the bad. The fellow campers, ugh. Fellow campers made our trip less than desirable. Most of the camp sites are small and on top of each other. Little to no privacy. We stayed at site #77 which I do not reccomended to anyone. The site was littered with big rocks sticking out of the ground. Day time walking was tricky but night time in the pitch dark was dangerous. We took a few tumbles but thankfully nothing too serious. In my personal opinion 77 should be off limits to all campers. Now for the company. 5 people to a site was a mere suggestion as a lot of sites had well over the limit. Site 64 and 65 made a lot of people's weekend less than desirable. From the loud music, drinking alcohol, bong smoking in the mens bathroom and the glowing red hot hookah warm they left plugged in right outside of the bathroom( pictured below). We were kept awake late every single night because of others shenanigans. Once the ranger made his quiet hrs announcement and left for the night it was a free for all. People partying, running up and down the road and flashing lights into others tents etc. I have honestly never experienced this at other state parks. Maybe we have just been lucky all these yrs. I am not sure we will be coming back next yr. We would love to enjoy the parks grounds and amenities but ignorant campers left a bad taste in our mouth. So sad people have to ruin it for others. Stay home and act a fool. Camping is supposed to be for relaxing, unwinding and making memories. Far from our...

Do NOT come here if you want to have fun. The area itself was somewhat nice. Bathrooms were extremely clean. Camp site was mediocre for tents. Our site was on a major slope, making it uncomfortable to sleep site was well kept.

HOWEVER, the park ranger was a complete prick. Four of us went for my birthday. Quiet hours are 9pm. It was 10:45pm. We had a fire going but had no music and were sitting quietly taking it all in. I had a beer in a coozie but the rest was hidden in the bottom of a cooler. Mind you no one was drunk and everyone was respectful. The park ranger came and RUDLEY made us open and empty all of our bags and coolers. Then made us one by one dump everything out. Wouldn’t let us move the beers off site we had to dump them. (We are all in our 30s).

Then he kept accusing us of having weed. None of us had weed or were smoking but was insistent on saying he could smell it. (Mind you the smell was coming from him because he just confiscated some from a few sites over).

The following night, a party was BLARING music until after 3:30 am, another site was setting off fireworks, and another site had a bunch of drinks arguing until 4am being loud.

Ranger didn’t shut those parties down, however we were all in our tent trying to sleep. No one talking. No alcohol either since it was all dumped the night before and he came o to our site twice with a flashlight. Made us extremely uncomfortable.

So honestly do NOT come here. A bunch of old rude people as well. No one was friendly.

(The ranger is the same one pictured for making racist comments in a...
