Pros: Park is very clean and well maintained.👍 The campground trail is moderate with a decent step climb. Plenty of other hiking trails also. Campground itself isn't huge, which is nice. 9pm quiet hour was mostly observed - there's always one group wherever you go that thinks the rules don't apply and go for hours after quiet time. 🤷‍♀️ Camp hosts are amazing - friendly and very helpful. ❤️ Love that the campground has a potable water fill for rvs and a dump station. Cons (for us): Sites are very close together for the most part. There are few dog sites. There are a few really good sites that offer a bit more privacy, though. Lake is not dog friendly due to cyanoalgae bloom, which makes it toxic/ deadly to animals. So one of us had to stay behind with the dogs while the other went out. Fishing is not great due to an overabundance of catfish. Mostly cats and sunnies in there.

Francis Slocum State Park has a nice 100 site camping area divided into three sections. The Stoney Point section has the most to offer. Here you'll find the camp host, some electric hook-ups, a potable water pump, a playground, an amphitheater, and the campgrounds own boat launch. The Hunting Hill section is more space for trailers. The Rocky Knoll section is for tent campers with a separate walk-in area and an organized group tenting area. All sections have similar bathrooms and showers.

The park is beautiful. The trails are everywhere for hiking. The camping park is very tight. The bathrooms are extremely dirty and seriously lacking in toilet paper for when the campground is packed. It is very quiet tho for as full as it was. 50 amp service worked for only 20 mins at a time, ended up not being able to use it. Box kept over heating and tripping the breaker. This campground needs a serious electricity upgrade at the campsites.

Wonderful campground with plenty of shade!!! None of the sites have water hook up, but many have 30 and 50 amp service. Most of the spots are on the smaller size, with lots of trees and shade. The campground road is paved but the driveways are not. Parking for the camper was tight but the spot was fairly level. Almost filled to capacity on the weekend, but you really don’t feel it or even hear it. Lots of families and everyone seemed to be enjoying the campground. Each loop only has one bathhouse, not very up to date, but showers worked well (plenty of hot water) and very centralized location. A great place to stay and relax or stay and enjoy the pool or large lake. Two negative comments: the entrance to the campground has a sign which reads, “ campground amphitheater”. What the sign SHOULD read is “campground AND amphitheater”, as we mistook that and missed the turn. Other negative is we did NOT need to stop in at the camp office to register as we were told. Instead, we could have just driven into our...

Beautiful park. I’ve been coming here since a child and always had an enjoyable time. Camping, not so much. I highly do not recommend people in their 20s-30s to camp here. Elder people were very rude and fully invading privacy just standing watching my friend and I struggle to get a tent up. I booked a spot in a NON pet area and still, dogs were walked and urinating near my area. It began to pour so I sat in my car, with it on for about 20 minutes, absolutely NOT blasting music, which I guess was still too loud for elders about 4 spots over, which resulted in them calling to complain, having my car and personal belongings completely searched, and overall, the entire experience ruined. I left immediately after that and went to a hotel. I will NOT...
