I guess I'm going to edit this to say: if I'd realized that this establishment considered drinking alcohol with minors a family activity, I probably would have gone elsewhere. I didn't see any mention of children or kids or being kid-friendly whenever I searched the reviews, which is usually a solid indicator whenever I don't see it explicitly stated. As for the offer to set me away in the garden.... why is it something that with this man yesterday and with your suggestion that I need to be moved? If an adult behaved the way those children did, you would ask them to leave. But because they're kids, no one wants to say anything, even though its age appropriate behavior in an age INappropriate environment, which is the problem. Even when the parents act like children, as it were, it's fine, thankfully I don't live here. I'll stick to the places I'm a member with, I give up otherwise.

Five stars before the family with the literal infant parked themselves directly next to me in the sun, with other seats available, then suggested that I move if I find the baby's fussing anything but endearing, even though that's what started the tiff. If the baby were chill/sleeping...like, that's a little bit different (still think it's weird to bring kids to these places, I don't get the obsession/social acceptance here), but this was a fussy baby. And then dad decided me turning to look for a place to move after the 8th outburst, so I didn't have to be directly next to the shrieking, was his chance to be confrontational and feel like a big man. He is lucky his mother in law had common sense because idk what about my appearance said I would back down from being challenged after spending more money than all of them put together to sit here and relax in what I thought was an adult environment or otherwise, despite him being as fussy as his ~6mo/old baby. This being said: I'm not sure how aware the employee is of the baby and its fussiness and its presence, so I can't hold it to the winery other than that allowing it disrupted my experience to the point I have to reconsider returning to stay and relax (edited: apparently this OK with them...idk I just wasn't raised with it being socially acceptable to take your kids out drinking with you and I'm in my 30s). The sounds of fussy children are not relaxing to me, sorry, not sorry. All this being said: the last time I visited: very lovely and no such issues. This time? Initially very lovely, with friendly and helpful staff. Legit, my only beef is why under 21s are coming to a place that basically only serves alcohol? The group of early 20-somethings are less disruptive, and they're insta-fabulous rolling in and initially a little loud. Regardless, I definitely would appreciate the adult atmosphere remaining as such, without the dad attacking me because of his obvious insecurities (I would also be insecure if I brought my infant daughter out drinking with me, for the record). That being said, there's now 3 kids here, but at least the other 2 aren't as disruptive, and I'm good with that. I'll eat elsewhere I guess while these people shove salmon paté (or whatever) in their infants face as she fusses because she probably finds it gross and I'm stuck in the loop of listening to it since I've nowhere to move to except to leave once I finish my glass. As such, I guess I'm cutting out early because this is obnoxious and it's feeling more "chore" than relaxing and these kids aren't even mine, as the school age kid and their dad are getting loud over a card game because...dad with alcohol... and kid being kid... Maybe something to consider moving forward. I'd pay obnoxious amounts of money for an adults only winery, and I do when I find them, which seem to largely exist in Virginia and California, as it were, I DO spend good money. That ~$85 I spent is a drop in the bucket. Also: J'ai parle un peu Françias: I could understand you guys, with the infant, next to me 🤗 Remercie ta belle-mère d'être raisonnable parce que tu voulais juste te...

To make it short we will never return to this place. Read on if you want more.

First the wine. If you like very light (no body wines) then the wine is OK. If you like lots of flavor go to another winery.

The wife of the wine maker is not a people person. She is constantly talking down to the group I was with because we were not thinking the European way of wine tasting. We were thinking American wine tasting. When you only have light whites you taste from dry to sweet. We thought they would have reds also and the don't, so we got scolded for asking.

We went here with our kids and and this lady and her dog DO NOT like kids. I think the dog would have been fine if the lady would have just let him lie there instead of yelling every time a kid was on the same side of the room as the dog. Little glass crap for sale at the perfect height for little ones to touch. She gets very excited if a little one comes close to...

Visited after reading that it was one of the go-to places on Brainbridge Island. The property and the grounds are beautiful but felt the pours they gave us for our flight for two were not as generous as they were with other guests who were there. But what I really couldn't stomach was when I asked to use the restroom and was pointed to a porta potty which they insist is clean. Of course, it was not and quite frankly it then made it hard to enjoy the rest of the time there. You just can't unsee things in a porta potty and then enjoy libations. I definitely didn't want to eat anything after that. It's perplexing given how much space there is on the vineyard that there aren't proper restroom accomodations for guests. Perhaps there's something I'm missing about their ability to build on the property but I'm not at some festival or carnival...I'd like a clean...
