We had such a fun time here. We got this recommendation from a bartender near the Queen Anne district. They said high side distillery was a must try place on Bainbridge Island. Getting there, the drive was really simple and the surroundings beautiful. The distillery itself is tucked away in the back near some other garages. There is parking near there but it is limited. We chose to sit outside because it was such a beautiful day. The service there was great because the individual behind the bar was very attentive, asked us questions about what we liked, and gave recommendations based on our answers. We wanted to start off with the flight, which was a great option because it helped us really decide on the drinks we wanted to try out that were recommended to us. In the end we got two drinks each and walked away with a bottle of brandy and gin. Safe to say that we enjoyed what we tasted. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want a nice chill experience.

Such a fun, family-owned place. Very new but with a lot of new stuff coming. Matt, one of the owners, was our host and did such a great job of making us feel welcome. The gin and amaro liqueurs are super unique and enjoyable even for those who don't like gin! You also can't beat the price-- $5 for a tasting. Highly recommend

Delightful spot tucked away in this little complex off the beaten path. Really friendly and knowledgable team - great that they have both tasting flight ($5!) and cocktails. Nice covered outdoor patio space to enjoy it all!

Highside Distilling opened its doors the Friday after Thanksgiving and I had a chance to visit Matt, Helen and Jeff- the owner operators. We had our pick of suggested cocktails after tasting their newly released apple-based gin.

After making our drinks, Matt the distiller and Co-owner of Highside gave us a tour. If you’re in Seattle or Bainbridge Island it’s worth the trip. Highside (inspired by Scottish Highlands and Speyside region where Matt and Jeff studied distilling in Edinburgh).

Their Amaro bitter liqueur is scheduled for release the week before Christmas. Great time, can’t wait to try...

Wandered in after getting a Christmas tree with the family. The owner gave our daughter some fresh apple slices and served us up some amazing cocktails! They also gave us the recipe to some of these cocktails on their website. We toured the facility and tasted the gin- everything was done at a high level. The fresh ground Nutmeg on one of the drinks was a really nice touch... all that aside, these guys make a really tasty gin; and even though the distillery is fairly new, it has been years in the making and their experience shows. We’ll...
