Baldwin Park Teen Center and Skate Park — Attraction in Baldwin Park

The hours on the web site are not clear. The skatepark is buried behind the Teen Center behind a fortress of a fence. The park design itself is strange and impractical. Street league style skaters have enough to do here with the typical 1/4 pipes/banks on each side with center box obstacles. The only significant transition is off to one side with nothing apposing it to pump from. This park desperately needs to be upgraded. Vert skaters get almost nothing here. The skatepark is situated at a teen center but the gate is open for anyone. Signs said pads and helmets must be worn but nobody was enforcing it.

The park itself is full of massive stairs and ledges that nobody can skate. Why on earth someone would build a park of this scale at a teen center I don't know. It would be way cheaper to put a few mellow banks, some flat bars and ledges and maybe a hip. And way more useable.
