GV Social Hall — Attraction in Baldwin

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the South Baldwin Social Club on 04/29/17. We planned our wedding from out of state and weren't able to see anything in person until the week of the wedding. The hall looks even better in person than it does in photos and videos. We liked being able to setup the hall Thursday night instead of Friday. Our only complaint is due to lack of communication during setup. Apparently someone said during setup that a few additional guests were coming. In actually we were short a few guests. We would have liked for someone from the hall to confirm with us (bride or groom) before taking money out of our security deposit to pay for these phantom guests. Our journey with Gianna Via’s started way back in February of 2020. Our original wedding date was supposed to be 7/18/20, but of course that was delayed because of covid. GV didn’t miss a beat and was super accommodating during our transition to a new date. We had a tasting a couple months prior to the ceremony and the food was amazing! And of course it was still amazing on the day of our wedding. The venue is truly a hidden gem in the South Hills. I would recommend GV Social Hall to anyone. You cannot beat the price on top of the convenience of having the venue owned and catering performed by the same people. My boyfriends sister just got married here over the weekend. It’s a very nice venue! The catering staff did a great job with everything. Their event coordinator Shelly also did a great job with all the decorating! I would recommended for sure for a local place to have a wedding or event!
