Carlton Gallery — Attraction in Banner Elk

I'm sure it's a wonderful gallery, but it seems very elitist. Honestly... $450 for one painting class? Come on. One of the cheapest was $289 or something like that. I get that some people can afford to pay that, but even though it's "Fine Art", why not make at least one or two classes or workshops at the most $100? If there is a passion to share this with the community, I don't think it should be astronomically expensive. Especially for locals in the area during the winter when all of the tourists or part-time residents are away....

Disappointed in the front desk staff, today. Previous staff was very kind and helpful this past Friday. Today was like pulling teeth, lacked transparency. Gate keeping is a fair right but should still have a process for a place like so. I guess I’ll just working hard...
