Our families absolute favorite swimming spot. Every time I go I find something new that I didn't know was there before. There is swings, volleyball net, barbecue pits, a boat dock, a camping area, a fishing area, and even a place to rent canoes! I saw a sign that said no pets allowed on the Sandy Beach part. There is a nice big public bathroom for changing and showering off as well. Tons of trees and lots of nice shade area. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. Tons of parking. The park rangers or staff are very helpful and kind, especially in an emergency situation. When my daughter had an emergency and I had to call 911 the lady who was working at the time was extremely helpful and explained to 911 exactly where we were and helped flag them down for us. Maps available at the entrances. Mostly green trails with some blue intermittent stretches. Watch for rocks, sugar sand and pine needles. Lots of wild life all around.
