When it comes to Bayamón, there is a lot of bias: regional bias. There are those that are from Bayamón and those that aren't; and the opinions about it are completely polarized and trickle down onto everything Bayamón has to offer whether it's good or bad. This park is one of those examples. The park is nice, it is clean, it has good facilities and themes for the entertainment and playing at all ages. Its downside: it is in Bayamón and it is not close to any highways. That basically means that if you're coming from out of town it's going to take longer than one might find it convenient to get here. The parking lot is sort of fine (plenty of street parking too). El Parque Lineal como tal es tremendo para caminar, correr o andar en bicicleta. El sitio es bonito y tiene mucho potencial para disfrutarse. Pero lo único que de verdad le daña la experiencia a uno son los guardias (porque además de escuchar a muchas personas quejándose por los guardias, también me ha pasado en varias ocasiones que he recibido regaños por los guardias por los mismos motivos).

La mayoría de las veces que uno pasa los ve sentados o regañando a gente que ni siquiera está haciendo nada malo. Lo más absurdo es que casi siempre las quejas son porque se ponen a regañar a ciclistas… ¡cuando el parque está hecho precisamente para eso! Claro, entiendo que no permitan bicicletas eléctricas o scooters de gasolina o eléctricos, eso está bien y es lógico. Pero aquí fastidian hasta a los que usan bicicletas normales, sin motor, solo para dar la vuelta o hacer ejercicio. Y eso no tiene sentido.

A mí también me ha pasado, y de verdad es una de las peores cosas del parque. Da coraje porque en caso de que pase algo de verdad grave, ni se puede contar con ellos… uno tendría que llamar directamente a la policía si algo serio sucede, porque los guardias están más pendientes de regañar gente que de hacer su trabajo de velar por la seguridad. Y eso, si acaso, porque ni la actitud les ayuda.

Ojalá cambiaran el personal de seguridad por personas que de verdad tengan ganas de trabajar y de cuidar el parque...

Love walking and playing basketball. Just very concerned with the walking area cause it's lacking maintainance. The pace area are lifting up because of the tree roots. No soap in the bathrooms. And have to be carefull with the trees cause walking a tree just broke and fell out of nowhere. Needs more maintainance to function people friendly. The guards just sit there and lacks...
