Fort Fremont Beach — Attraction in Beaufort

The other review is correct, it is a hidden gem for sure. Even if you know about Fort Fremont, it is quite hard to find, the beach being blocked by a large gate with just one open point to access it. Once you get to it, it is an amazing view of the water and the beach extends for several miles. There were very few people on the beach as well....

The beach is not really accessible from the Fort Freemont Preserve due to some downed trees. You need to go a bit north to Triangle Rd and there is a small parking area. The tide was pretty high when we got here so the beach was narrow, but there was nobody here. There is a bit of debris on the beach (old cement, bricks, and such), but...

Long, beautiful beach front with multiple docks. It was a very hot day so there was only one family there besides me. Check the tides! Limited parking- only maybe 4 or 5 spots. No bathroom or facilities that I saw....
