I loved this place and will return for sure. Parking was easy. Restrooms inside. The bathroom did not have a changing table but the restroom a building over for weddings did. It was also air-conditioned. I donated a few dollars for fish food. My husband, sister and her 2 year old came yesterday. BABY O he loved to run along the paths looking at all the different plants and trees. Next to the indoor water fall where the fish were I saw a beautiful little garden snake. One of the trees Akee Apple from Africa had fruit on it. That was cool to see. We left the indoor botanical garden and went out side to follow the paths. We saw tons of butterfly's, huge grasshopper things, Amazingly huge banana spiders. Two other people on the path said they also saw a snake. Which was nice to know. Well keep a look out. No big deal it is the out doors. I hope the snakes I have mentioned above di t detour people from this place. We got to lake in the back and fed the fish. I wish I had more food because the fish were amazing. There were so many of them and they were huge. Good eating size if you will. lol. We walked around the rose garden area and let baby O smell the roses. Sat under a gazebo for a while and continued in to a Stagg statue. Then we headed back to the car. We all rode together to the end of the park where there is a cattail park area. I am not usually into this swamp kind of thing but this was just beautiful. The pictures just don't do it justice. We saw many different kinds of plants, beautiful birds with babies, different sized turtles, no gattors and no snakes out here. The wood out look walking area was clean and safe to walk on. Looked newish to me. After that we drive back to the car and my husband and I followed her to a restaurant were we when to eat but that's a different review "Cheddars" It was a nice open park area out around the golf area. Nice place to do a party? Just a lot of room. I didn't see a play scape or any thing. We will return and bring Frisbees and...

Nice garden to walk through on a beautiful day. I was bummed the conservatory was closed, although it states online and at the door they were open Saturday from 10am-1pm. I arrived at 10:50am and the closed sign was on the door.

The garden itself is nice and peaceful. You can walk your dogs as long as they are on a leash. Restrooms were at another building near the parking lot. It's great that it is free!

The golf course nearby makes you feel not so alone, so don't worry if you see a golf...

Private party going on at the events center on the grounds of the gardens. Totally obnoxious, noise code violation party that was an extreme distraction for the serenity of enjoying the time spent at the gardens. It was not a pleasant experience for the guests at the gardens. Saturday April 6, 2024 approximately time was 4:00 PM. Unacceptable. In addition it was chaperoned by The Jefferson County Sheriffs Office. Noise pollution that was uncalled for and should have been addressed,...

It was small enough that we saw the whole thing in 1hr, bearing in mind that the building was closed so we only saw the outdoor garden. It was a decent botanic garden, not bad, not great. We saw butterflies, bees, a rabbit, a bird, a lizard, and a snake (which I think may have been a copperhead—beware, this guy was in the section near the entry gate, nowhere near the area that has the 'watch out for snakes' sign).
