So if you're looking for a place where you can walk around and safely view Wild alligators for free... this is the place! You can also ride bikes or walk your dog on a leash or do some bird watching. There are dirt roads that are decently maintained and they are raised up probably eight to ten feet above the level of the water where the Gators are with about a 45° slope down to the water that is usually mowed. You can walk for miles and not ever have to backtrack because of how big the place is and how many different roads there are running through it. You do have to be careful because some of the Gators will respond if you mess with them...don't ask me how I know LOL

Not sure who to provide feedback to but the trails from the Trryell Park are terrible, whereas it could be very good with common sense work. Hiking from the right of this sign, found more I guess maintenance roads unnecessarily disturbing trail ambience along with perhaps commercial business along side trail. The trail ends along side road/oil pipeline forcing you back track to starting point. Not sure if even one of these loops are complete and even the one signage was wrong on the trail. Either lack of caring or money to take care of money producing golf course could be cause since this is obvious. Even trail to observation platform was a joke and lacked clear path or signage. The obsolute worse rating of my national trip having visited 14 national and 8 states parks in 8 weeks.

Pleasant and quiet. I saw lots of lesser egrets on the way in. Didn't really see anything other than plants and dragonflies once there though. I really enjoyed going up to the second floor of the pavilion/visitor's center and looking out over the whole marsh. Going over the boardwalk into the center of the marsh also gives you a nice view, it's just not really pleasant to be in the small center gazebo with another group of people. There are a couple of benches for you to sit and enjoy the view. There are also tour vans that drive around the perimeter, for those who want to see it but not walk it.

Fun and remarkably beautiful place. Its litterally just a straight board walk, maybe 1/5 of a mile long. The scenery was something out of a wildlife documentary. I half expected Sir David Attenborough to start commenting on the surroundings. We stood in silence for half an hour just appreciating the raw beauty of the environment. Id recommend bringing a water bottle, but there are shade structures on the walk so sunscreen may not be necessary. If you're in the area its worth checking out. Young children might find it boring, but it could still be a great place for some family photos.

If you're looking for a fairly long walk that feels out of the way, but in reality is right on the edge of town, look no further! Sporting 5+ miles of trails crisscrossing over swampy terrain, this place is perfect for some intense cardio, or a leisurely walk. Be careful of the alligators and snakes though as they often sun themselves draped across the path. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for the lack of rest areas along the path. Some of the patrons are older or with young kids so somewhere to sit and rest your feet would be nice

This is such a cute little area to go for your next hike! There's so much wildlife to see! There's signs up on the dock about the different birds you can encounter on the trail or see near the water. The signs explain how to identify the birds by color, sound, and size. This would be a wonderful spot to birdwatch! There's also so many different plants to see! As we were walking back to our car, we were lucky enough to see an alligator swim up to the dock! This is definitely a spot worth checking out for the beautiful scenery!
