HIGHLY recommend visiting this CCC museum - it's VERY well done, and extremely interesting and informative. Very well worth the visit if you're in the area. Dedicate at least an hour to read everything there to learn things about our history that you may not have been aware of. And be sure to leave a donation in the donation box for this important place.

The CCC Museum building was locked when we visited, but the rest of the buildings were open. They detailed the program to reforest Michigan and how they collected and germinated tree seedlings to ship all over the state. I had no idea. It was very interesting.

Beautiful little place but it was closed for the season when I walked the property. I liked the accessibility piece. Relatively smoothe gravel walking paths and even a handicap outhouse.

My dad was in the ccc so I stopped in the museum to see everything. There group pictures of each camp unit- the pictures of each worker are small so i didnt think I would find my dad who was about 14 when he was there- so a child that i needed to recognize, but about 10% of the unit pictures had a name roster-one was my dad ! And he was smiling broadly-a kid amongst so many men. great visit to the museum which...
