Fairly challenging hike through the woods with quite a bit of elevation gain / very rocky terrain / alot of tree roots / leading to a majestic mountain bald / 360° views. Several backpackers and thru hikers on this trail as it is part of the AT and it offers options to connect to other trails and do as a point to point instead of an out and back.
Going up is all UP, and reminded me of a mix of Profile trail at Grandfather Mt and Strawberry Gap in Gerton...but the views at the top is what made it spectacular for...
