Slim's Fish Camp — Attraction in Belle Glade

What a refreshing,down to earth bait and tackle shop on Okeechobee. The staff is friendly and courteous. Being a yankee on his first trip to the Lake, they helped me immensely both with the fishing secrets and safety tips to avoid running afoul of the local wildlife. Seeing a 12 foot gator swim by in the canal got my attention real quick. The shop has all the bait you need and any normal tackle you might require. Great people who manage slims today remind me of the old days very friendly and quick service although they could have a wider variety of lures some times you have to go by what you can stock .
