I love small town RV parks and this one is a super gem! You can stay up to 10 days free in a 60 day period, but you can/should leave a donation. There is a metal tube for it on the left as you leave. The campsites have a covered pavilion with two large picnic tables, plus one that’s not covered set by a fire ring. You share the spot with another rig, but the way they set up the plug-ins, you retain your privacy. There are water spigots close by and a dump station on the premises. The park has tennis, basketball, frisbee golf and even a community pool, plus a small river. I usually had 2 strong bars on AT&T.

Such a nice park, super well-maintained and spacious. I thought the free overnight camping was too good to be true, but it was real and gave me such a comfy night’s rest while passing through. I felt safe there even with my windows completely down, and it was at times so quiet that it was almost spooky, aside from an annoying dog barking in the distance. Bathrooms are at the white building and are 24-hours. Woke up and walked on the bridge overlooking the dam.

Took us a minute to figure out where to park our camper. Electricity starts running in April. There are water hookups. We haven't found the dumpsite yet. Signs pointing to campsites and dumpsite would be helpful. We figured it out and they are very nice sites. We can stay ten days out of every 60. Don't know yet how they know or if it is an honor system. With gas prices high and this only an hour from home we will definitely be back for stay cations.

What a find! We were traveling from the desert Southwest on our way to see family in Iowa. Looking for cheap and/or inexpensive places to stay with our 40' motorhome along the way we discovered this city park with 10 RV spots. There are no reservations. We had a paved pad with 50 amp service. There are fresh water hydrants scattered around so you may have to share one. There is a dump station you can use, albeit a little archaic, but what the heck, it's a nasty chore anyway. We stayed 3 days visiting friends. The setting is a pretty city park along a river. Total cost: NOTHING!! Donations are appreciated and certainly due. Beloit is a nice town with everything you need. Put this spot on...
