What a find! We were traveling from the desert Southwest on our way to see family in Iowa. Looking for cheap and/or inexpensive places to stay with our 40' motorhome along the way we discovered this city park with 10 RV spots. There are no reservations. We had a paved pad with 50 amp service. There are fresh water hydrants scattered around so you may have to share one. There is a dump station you can use, albeit a little archaic, but what the heck, it's a nasty chore anyway. We stayed 3 days visiting friends. The setting is a pretty city park along a river. Read moreI love small town RV parks and this one is a super gem! You can stay up to 10 days free in a 60 day period, but you can/should leave a donation. There is a metal tube for it on the left as you leave. The campsites have a covered pavilion with two large picnic tables, plus one that’s not covered set by a fire ring. You share the spot with another rig, but the way they set up the plug-ins, you retain your privacy. There are water spigots close by and a dump station on the premises. I thought the free overnight camping was too good to be true, but it was real and gave me such a comfy night’s rest while passing through. I felt safe there even with my windows completely down, and it was at times so quiet that it was almost spooky, aside from an annoying dog barking in the distance.
