Benbrook Equestrian Trails — Attraction in Benbrook

Overpriced by a lot. Called to set up a quick horse petting for 3 young girls and possibly hop on one for a quick walk around an arena. Was asking for 10-15 min total time with 1 horse just so they could be up and close with a horse. The person on the phone said we'd have to schedule lessons and I don't remember the exact quote but it was over $350.00. Haha so obviously we pet the horses at the fence and gave them some apples. Then we hit the petting zoo at ft worth zoo bought annual memberships and found another place to let us pet a horse and take a quick trot around an arena on a horse. We did all of that for less than the initial quote. I guess they only cater to trail rides and lessons here, you can find both for way less almost anywhere else. You can also find places to allow you a few min up close with the horses for next to nothing. I'd give this place less than 1 star because they were also extremely rude about not providing the experience we were looking for. A simple we don't do that kind of thing would've been fine instead of trying to push lessons on ppl who really don't care to learn how to ride horses or go on a full out trail ride. Nice wide flat trails. Small parking area could be an issue with multiple larger trailers. I was just walking my dog this morning got a third of the way down the trail, suddenly I noticed his demeanor changed, he became nervous and about 25ft ahead of us a mountain lion crossed the trail.
