So cool! Definitely worth checking out. There's a metal staircase that goes down into the cave's main room, then there's a lava tunnel to the left that goes for a mile or so. It's very dark so bring a flashlight. Some of the tunnel is big and open, but there are spots that are narrow with rough terrain and uneven rocks. We explored all the way to the end of the tunnel, it was so fascinating to see what it looks like inside a lava tube cave.

Love this place! Sometimes we come out here to eat dinner and watch the sunset behind the Three Sisters Volcanos. The cave gets visited by alot of mountain bikers. Fun in the outback can be had here.

Bring sturdy hiking boots, a headlamp and a flashlight. Also dress warm, it’s cold down there. The ground is uneven and difficult to walk on. It gets very very dark.

Perhaps the best part was Boyd Cave is open in the winter. Like any good cave, it is literally a hole in the ground. It's relatively easy to traverse, and has several interesting galleries. As with any cave, bring three flashlights with fresh batteries, and extra batteries. It's pitch black, so the brighter the light, the better. Dress warmly, whether summer or winter. There are no facilities,...

This cave is pretty bad ass. It is located off of a dirt road in the middle of the Bend desert. There is a metal stair case down into the cave. I would advice for a bright head light or flashlight. Pretty eerie, but neat inside the cave. Lots of fallen boulders! It is rather cold so bring...
