I’ve never been to this area of my state and figured I should check this out while in the area. The experience was amazing! Managed to hear lots of bugling and viewed multiple elk. There was even a bull laying in a field close by we were able to get a closer view of. (It helps to visit during rut) Please note: there will be noisy people (we had some screaming children while there) and vehicles which can possibly spook the elk. We saw these and many others on the roads leading to and around Dents Run Elk Viewing area and Winslow Hill viewing area. Close to dusk was best as they come out when the temperatures cool down to eat grass in back yards and open fields. This was pre-rut so I am sure it may change. People are just stopping on the road or pulling into people's driveways who live in the area. I saw people just sitting on people's porches... Trespassing!
