Wenninghoff's — Attraction in Bennington

We had a wonderful time at the farm. The place was beautiful and the staff were so kind, helpful, and welcoming. Everything about the experience was great. The only thing I wanted to mention was about one of the calves. He/she seemed a little sad and lethargic, and I even noticed some tears in the eyes. I’m not sure if it was due to being alone without other calves to interact with, the weather, or maybe a health concern, but I thought it was worth mentioning so it can be checked on. I also know it’s not always easy, but it might help if there were at least two similar animals in each area so they have some company. I noticed the donkey kept going in circles too, which made me a bit concerned. Just sharing this as someone who really loves animals and hopes they’re happy as well as cared for. I was extremely disappointed in Wenninghoffs today. $10 for a watermelon, $8.50 for a tiny cheesecake aaaand they charge a $1 to use a card. I refuse to support any place that puts off their business bank charges onto the customer. That is their charge not ours!*

In response to the owners response, I'm not looking for the cheapest but I am looking for fair. I am alllll for supporting local even if it's expensive. I spent almost $20 on two items, by the way your watermelon is not local like most of your products, and on top of the $20 purchase you charge the customer "your" bank fee. We should not have to pay $1 to use a card if you don't want to pay "your" bank fees then don't accept cards! It's the lack of integrity that will stop me from...

My friends and I stopped in at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday to shop. First time at this market. The person that was working the counter (maybe owner? Idk) came out and met us in the parking lot, and asked us why we were there. insert heavy attitude here Because their sign "clearly said 10am.." (Google showed 9am) then they proceeded to ask "Don't you people go to church!?" She Audibly huffed and then let us in.

I absolutely regret making a purchase at this market and I will never be back.
