Great State Park outside Philadelphia in lower Bucks County, and not too far from New Jersey Camden County and Burlington County area of Delaware River. Highly recommended for nature enthusiasts, for picnicking, fishing, great natural playground for those families that want to get the kids in the Sun and fresh air and far from electronic devices for a change, lots of clean beautiful trails with scenic overlook to both bodies of water the Delaware River and Neshaminy Creek, great fishing spots along the waterways, the local arboretum and forest is well kept and replenished with new young trees, all seasons bird watching and wildlife in the area, great for dog walking, jogging, exercising, there is also a community swimming pool for the Summer. All and all a great all seasons park to visit and recreation and besides is well kept and patrolled by the greatest PA park rangers. Read moreNice place but... Bathrooms, especially women's bathrooms, are dirty. Was told cleaning staff only cleans in the morning but this park is opened from 8am till sundown, which is too long for a bathroom to go without maintenance or toiletries, and it's packed at the park daily. Bring your own toiletries! Plenty of grills throughout the park which is great if you wanna do a cook out, trash bins on every spot, trash bags are provided by security when needed. One of the guards came up to us expecting us to clean up the trash that came our way from the wind, umm no, we picked up our trash and that's that. And it was beyond our area anyway so as long as we cleaned up our stuff, which we did, should be no problem and they understand so all is well. I'd say go early if you want a spot near the playground because that's where people tend to gravitate towards but if you want a more chill area, there's a whole other side near the pool area that has plenty of grills and benches. Warning, some people do have their dogs off leash even though they shouldn't. Nice path to walk/ride through. Overall, a great place to bring family...
Read morenot going back!!! The racist patrol car at the park seemed to follow us with every move me or my boyfriend made. He seemed to sit and watch my boyfriend workout from the parking lot and then when I went to talk with my boyfriend he moved from the parking lot and moved closer to park by pavilion 2 and just sat there Looking at us. We then moved and started walking from there and then he was driving behind us by time we got to the back. Mind you, I’m pushing my son In a stroller on the pavement so why are you driving directly behind me? If Once I stopped and looked back he then decides to drive around me on the grass. Not sure what he was doing but it made me and my family very uncomfortable! We were just there like everyone else trying to get fresh air during this pandemic. I watched him drive around the other parking lot and not once stop to look at anyone else. He gets to the second parking lot and decides to park and watch every move we made. I see a lot of other reviews about these guys and obviously nothing is being done!...
