Excellent stop if you are traveling through the area. Like most herd/grazing animals, they are supposedly most active early in the morning or in the late afternoon early evening. We made a detour on a rainy day off I24 and didn't arrive until 10am. Was not expecting to see much (time/weather) but took a chance. Some bison were way back in the trees and not close for a photo. Read moreThis place is a great way to see Bison and Elk and several other animals. During our trip, we went here twice and got some amazing views of these beautiful animals. I read some reviews about not seeing anything, but please remember this is not a zoo. The animals are free to roam throughout and will retreat to shaded woods when it's hot. When we were ready to start going in some kind people on the way out told us where we might spot some elk otherwise it's likely we would not have seen them. We spotted the elk where they said they were and got some decent photos of cows and one bull with antlers. The bison were easier to spot and were just enjoying the mild weather.
