iSpa Massage — Attraction in Bentonville

I wanted to get my wife a nice one hour massage for her birthday and I ended up choosing this place based on the reviews. I went with her to the appointment and when we were greeted upon arrival it was very confusing because nobody spoke English very well and we seem to have a hard time confirming she had a 1 hour massage appointment. Then they stood there talking to each other for a while before finally saying something to us to take her back. We just stood there awkwardly looking at each other wondering what was going on. I came back an hour later to pick up my wife and luckily she came out with a smile and said while the massage was actually a little awkward to her she did really like the lady who gave her a massage and she did feel a lot better. She liked it enough she would want to go back to this lady. So even though it was a little awkward I decided to take her back a few weeks later for another appointment. I called ahead and requested the same lady which once again over the phone the English was so bad it was a hard time even making the appointment and I didn't feel super confident it was set up correctly. Sure enough we show up the next day and told them we had an appointment with this certain lady and we were told she had already gone home! No apologies or anything, she just looks at us and says "well how about somebody else?" We kept saying how we specifically called and asked for this lady and we just kept getting told "well sorry she's not here." She could care less. Well you finally decide to go ahead and say okay to somebody else so then she keeps getting on her cell phone texting and once again we're standing there looking at each other wondering what in the world is going on. After several minutes of silence she finally tells us there is a lady on the way and she will be there in about 10 minutes. We just about walked out at this point but I talked to my wife into staying so she goes in the room to get undressed and wait for the lady to arrive. What do you know it was 25 minutes later before she gets there! The masseuse even told my wife later that she was in Springdale at the time she was contacted. So essentially we were lied to saying it would only be 10 minutes. There's no way you can make it from Springdale in 10 minutes. My wife said she was very nice but didn't give as good a massage as the first lady. I went to pay when she was done and gave a $5 tip which seemed okay at first but then another lady who initially greeted us when we got there came up to the front and she then proceeds to tell me something about my tip that it took me a while to understand. Basically in the end she was trying to tell me it was customary to give a 20% tip and I did not give 20%. It seemed like she was trying to force me to give a 20% tip. I was beside myself that I was being told basically I had to give a certain tip. This did not happen the first time we went there. I only had four more dollars in my wallet so I went to get that out to give it to her and told her that's all I had but then she pushes it back in my hand and says never mind and just keeps the money I gave her and walked away rudly. It was all very awkward and rude and we could not believe how this one lady up front was treating us. Even though the actual massages were pretty good with nice ladies we will not be back with the way we were treated at the front desk. Oh and by the way when we went back the second time the whole place literally smelled like somebody had peed on the floor or something. It smelled really bad. Another reason my wife almost walked out because it really stunk. I don't know what happened it didn't stink the first time but it really did not smell good this time. I booked a couple's massage at this establishment based on the glowing reviews and reasonable prices, as a treat for my wife and me following our wedding.

Personally, I found the massage enjoyable. My masseuse was excellent, quiet, and truly applied her strength in addressing my stress points. Not being a particularly shy individual, I didn't mind the more 'open' nature of the massage. The experience of being fully undressed with our legs spread and receiving a glute massage felt wonderful, but it was slightly overwhelming for my wife. Her masseuse, who I believe was the owner, displayed unprofessional behavior by answering multiple phone calls during the session, attending to customers in the front, and leaving the door open while we lay there exposed. Additionally, she began my wife's massage at least 5-10 minutes after mine had started, even though we were in the same room.

My wife described her massage as decent but not outstanding, and she was left with some bruises due to a few uncomfortable and painful moments during the session.

When it came time to pay, I handed over $200 for a $180 service and told them to keep the change. However, they looked at me in disbelief. The owner mentioned that they typically expect tips of at least 20%. I gave them another $20 without issue, but I hadn't anticipated the demand and would have preferred the extra charge to be included in the initial massage price.

In conclusion, some people may find satisfactory massages at this location for decent prices. Just be aware that they expect a minimum tip of 20% over the massage price and it may not be the ideal choice for those seeking a highly professional experience in a more private setting.

I called to check pricing they told me it would be $90 for a 90 minute massage which is very average for this area and totally fine. Once the massage is finished she told me it would be $100 when I told her I had called and she had told me the $90. She huffed and puffed and said that was the cash price , Which I had asked about on the phone and she had made no mention of. She then asked me if I wanted to leave a tip , I left a tip and she told me that it was not enough of a tip and proceeded to charge my card more than I had given her permission to.
