Orchards park is great for kids. My kid is obsessed with catching crawdads and tadpoles at the pond. The koi fish are gigantic now. The Canadian geese are a bit annoying, but the Blue Heron is fun to watch eat; and it comes up quite close to you. The playground is entertaining for kids; there is typically a handful playing. I can't say much about the areas for the dogs as we do not own dogs but we definitely enjoy watching them run in each space (there are two separate spaces for small & large dogs). There is more than enough room for the dogs to run with some covering to get out of elements if needed. There is also a convenient watering station for us humans and pets centralized at the playground & at the entrances of the dog areas. There is a lot I haven't mentioned that if you have not visited that you will have to see for yourself; there are cemented pathways to walk around the entire area. Bathrooms are on site but do not seem to be maintained at a regular cleaning schedule. That would be my request to the city: to have even a once a month powerwashing of that building. Update: Sept 2024. They have placed a device that now keeps the geese away; I first noticed it in July and it has done it's job; we have not seen geese or any geese droppings since mid-summer. (We visit at least 4-6 times a month)

Memorial Park is the "local" field for us as travel ball takes you all over. The fields are in good shape & you will play in the rain until it becomes unsafe w/lightening. There are adequate stalls in the restroom for the ball field size, especially since there are always several games going on at once. Bleachers are covered but do not block the rain, just the shade. Umps are tough at times and can be frustrating to parents but that's ball. All in all a 5 as it's smooth sailing at this field.

Memorial Park in Bentonville has everything you could possibly want! It’s huge, 73 acres to be exact. There is an an Olympic-sized pool ( not free) a baseball ball field , but is especially used for soccer games. It is also the home of Bentonville’s skateboard park which is being updated. There are many other sports facilities there as well. There is a creek running through it with ponds and wildflowers that trails wind around for walking and biking. The park is adjacent to Orchard Park where there is a large fountain and dog park, an orchard, more trails, and kids play area. The City of Bentonville holds many festivals there. Many of the trails are handicapped accessible and there are handicapped accessible bathrooms, pavilions, and...

Love fireworks and have seen some of the best. Bentonville has been some of the very best consistently but this year was somewhat lackluster. I'm no fireworks expert but we never got out of the ooh and aah stage until the finale which of course garnered a big wow. The build up pace was slow and sparse... It's always a challenge to get out of there afterwards but this year I'm left wondering who was in charge of setting up the traffic flow to disperse this crowd. Unorganized and undermanned, BPD was not directing traffic and the public took it upon themselves to move barriers at key points...and I cannot blame them but this didn't help... Never would I have ever imagined this experience. It gets...
