This spot is a great little area to go enjoy a view and have a relaxing meal or something. The parking lot is usually empty and it has a fantastic view of Oakland and a large portion of the Bay. You can even see Golden Gate Bridge from here depending on the level of fog. I've gone 4 times and seen Golden Gate only once, but it is possible. There is a parling lot with free parking woth great views. But for the absolute best view, I recommend doing this very short hike (only a few minutes from the parking lot) along the hillside just west of the Lawrence Hall building. I'll let my photos...
