What a weird place. I thought it would be fun to eat at a restaurant in the middle of Tilden Park and the view was gorgeous. I hit it on a great weather day too. But this is NOT a restaurant despite the indoor and outdoor seating. It is basically a to-go counter for golfers. Makes sense…it’s on a golf course. But the website made me think it was a restaurant. And you better know how everything works when you walk in the door because the counter person is not going to explain. If you order some things on the menu they will bring it to your table. If you order other things on the menu (breakfast burrito) they toss it on the counter without a plate or a napkin. They know their audience, which is great, unless you’re not a golfer. I went early on a Sunday and had the place to myself, which I liked, and it was kind of fun to watch everyone scooting around in their little carts and taking their swings.

Very excited for the Outlook to finally open. The redesign is beautifully done, the layout in and outdoors is very spacious and accommodating, and the views are great. I’ve been 3 times with my family and there’s something for everyone. While not particularly fancy on paper, everything we’ve tried has been good. The beers on tap are excellent. We live in the Berkeley hills and have been eagerly awaiting a restaurant that we can go to in the neighborhood with friends and/or family and the Outlook hits the spot. Looking forward to live music, trivia nights, and more family fun.

Very nice place with gorgeous views of the hills in Tilden park. The beer selection from local breweries is amazing. They also have great outdoor seating with heaters.

I've been playing at Tilden Golf Course regularly for about four years. In my opinion, it keeps getting better, especially since the new management took over.

I'm excited about the newly opened Overlook restaurant/bar. The outdoor space looks amazing, the beer selection is solid, and it feels like the perfect atmosphere to relax with friends after a round of golf.

The course itself is challenging, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the natural beauty of Tilden Park. I think the staff does a fantastic job maintaining the course, and the fairways and greens are consistently in great condition. If only I could just hit the fairways and sink a few more putts...

Highly recommend the course and The Overlook for anyone looking for a...
